  • So is there a TSB on this?

  • @joeyalbergo yes, a TSB is now available

  • @joeyalbergo actually, a TSB is not out for this, I was mistaken. There is, however, a tsb for oil consumption.

  • Is this problem on all the g35?

  • Yes. all VQ35DE engines are prone.

  • my g has a slight leak of oil as well what is the source of the problem and how can i fix it ?

  • The source of the problem is a bad spark plug tube seal. The seals only come with new valve covers. Ideally, you'd just replace the seal(s) that are leaking, however, since they are not sold separately, you'll need to replace the entire valve cover.

  • @bythabayplayer thanks man! i just had this happen to me with 4 spark plug seals and was wondering if i'd have to change just the seal or the entire cover. lol

  • @shantigeary30 -spark plug tube gaskets are not available for infiniti g35. new valve covers and valve cover gaskets would have to be replaced for definite fix. what we get for buying luxury model of nissan.

  • I have an 02 Maxima VQ35DE...I've heard of this problem. I was told the solution is to get a 6th gen Maxima 2004 valve cover and replace with that because they fixed the flaw in the cover after those years.

  • ok............ thats it?????

  • @manny16030 Get a G37s.

  • that is pretty common, change out your valve cover gasket and gasket for spark tubes. just wipe out tubes before new plugs go in with lint free cloth and something long and thin..... thats what she said

  • I discovered the same exact thing on my G...how might i go about fixing this problem?
