about the DnB yeah you're right , the breaks are a big part of the whole thing, but not an obligation, for exemple there were not so many amen breaks in the tech step of the end of 90s
about the voice, those cheesy voices were very done in the early hardcore (acen, johnny l, prodigy), and some dnb tracks keeped that vibe
It has indeed this hoover thing and in a way 'it makes think about dnb' but there's nothing like chopped amen breaks and it has a soft vocal so it's not so weird that people who are hermetic to dnb might like it.
Nearly all dnb tracks sample 'amen brothers' from the winstons but most of junglist wouldn't listen to the whole ep.
Eventually it's nice to be able to ear dnb accent in places where there usually is on ly phoney hypey things.
about the bass, i think overall to the one you can hear before the tracks "drops" and the second one during the "main part" wich sounds like what junglists call an "hoover"
the other bass sound is less "british" but, still think the track sounds to be quite influenced by british vibe
the piano and the pitched voice could have been in a an oldschool hardcore track, and the bass sound is very similar to a lot of break beat and dnb tunes, and yes it's a for/for beat, but i think it has been a bit influenced by that typical english vibe found in DnB, Breaks and Hardcore
ok first this isnt dnb, nor dubstep
its taken from the french electro roots like justice...
and it could be classified as trash electro/ dirty electro

Hype is fake indeed but note that this track has nothing to do with dnb nor breakbeat

it's funny to see how hype is fake, the same people which loves that track (an awesome one), hates drum n bass or breakbeat ...
