One-Arm Snatch Technique: Essentially a leg and back exercise (squat). Back straight at all times and bum out. Drive explosively with the legs; the arm/bicep does almost no work at all.
The hand holding the kettle bell should travel from level with the knees to level with the cheek.
Sam in the red shirt is playing with the 24kg kettle bell. For additional speed he uses his free hand to first stop the kettle bell at the top of movement and then accelerate it downwards.

  • @088kriS I asked the coach the question when I went for the trials, and the answer was so that more reps could be achieved in the timelimit. So compromise the amplitude of the and technique kettlebell snatch for a faster movement.

The full snatch technique is never trained or used as far as I can tell.

  • @adamklam Seems like they're working on the snatch technique. Drilling the high pull to make the snatch more fluid I would guess.

  • i'm loving the Two Door Cinema club in the background!! hahahha

  • why is the snatch ending at the cheek?

Kettlebell snatches and barbell snatches are normally complete when the kettlebell/barbell comes to a complete stop overhead?
