For all the grunting, panting, and sweating Jack's got nothing to show for it. That's until he found out about the Momentum 65 Convertible Car Seat by Evenflo. • Thanks for your feedback! Our videos are meant to be a humorous look at the challenges parents face. This campaign highlights our new convertible car seat-the Momentum 65™. As printed in our car seat instruction manuals, we encourage using them rear-facing as long as possible. To best demonstrate Evenflo’s e3 Side Impact™ and SureLatch™ systems, however, we chose to show this product in forward-facing mode, a different, but permissible, usage mode for this child, who was older than 12 months.

  • I see others have mentioned this, but ISN'T THAT CHILD SUPPOSED TO BE RER-FACING??

You'd figure the car seat manufacturers would care enough to get basic safety information right...

(The whole sex-innuendo-completely-inapropriate-for-this-product angle is another huge #FAIL, but that's so far off the deep end I'm leaving that alone for now.)

  • I'd like to know what happened to my response as well. I am very disapointed in Evenflo after this video. The child was not restrained properly, and in my experience as a CPST it is the rear facing position that parents find the most difficult so demonstrating the ease of installation in the rear facing direction would have been a better way to show off the features of the seat. And the child barely looks 1, you could have easily used a older child.

  • That child does not like 12 months old. This video was horrible. And what about the tether.....durrrr. Way to fail evenflo.

  • Personally, I find the over used sexual innuendos a bit much. (A little? Funny. Almost the whole commercial? Enough already.) And yup, I"m sick of the Dad stereotype (won't stick up for breastfeeding mom, the sports one, now can't put in a car seat). And THEN, the disturbing forward facing infant. Really guys? I'm watching all these and haven't found 1 yet that I find funny. (The shower one? Almost. Trying to release the little things and find it funny.)

  • I thought the commercial was really funny and would have hit home more if the child had been rear facing. That would be the only thing i would change

  • Again another video that shows me not to buy an Evenflo car seat since they don't think they should strap children in properly. It's pretty stupid to show a your seat being used incorrectly. Just wait till parents strap their kids in like this and they get injured or die in an accident they will sue you because you showed them that it was OK to have chest clips at the belly, loose straps and that it's OK to forward face a barely 1yr old child. What happened to the top tether?

  • This was hilarious! Very cute, too. But unfortunately, the end ruins it when he installs it improperly :( People are more likely to look at how you present it in the commercial than reading the manual, unfortunately. This was a big advertising fail where it could have been a major win!

  • Haha, it's SO FUNNY when babies die in car accidents because their carseats were installed improperly, and because their parents didn't use the 40LB REAR-FACING LIMIT to keep them safe.

The internal decapitation of infants is my favorite kind of joke :)

  • This is shocking! My husband is a carseat safety advocate and wants to become certified with me. He takes carseat safety seriously and is always willing to install the carseats with me. I am shocked that two parents would be openly displayed and mocked in this way...not only the dad showcased as a shallow and incapable person, but the mom is degrading and patronizing. And I haven't even touched on the incorrect install and premature FFing!

  • Poor installation indeed - not so smart on your part, guys.
