This clip(2) is from (in my opinion) one of the best episodes Donna Reed made. The Writing was great (Tom & Helen August)...so was the Direction (Robert Ellis Miller)...but most of all the acting was right on. I heard it was Donna Reed's favorite episode. They even did a flash back of this show a few years later with new wrap arounds.
Jimmy Hawkins(Scotty) played Donna Reeds son Tommy Bailey in The classic film "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE". Miss Reed must have liked working with him because he was still doing the series 8 seasons later.
Shelley & Jimmy first worked together in 1955 when he played Tagg Oakley in the "ANNIE OAKLEY" series ('53-'57). Shelley played his girl friend Trudy in "Treasure Map". They both co starred with Elvis Presley in "Girl Happy" & "Spinout".
Paul Petersen and Jimmy wrote the best selling 1993 book entitled "THE IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE TRIVIA BOOK". He later became a Motion Picture and TV Producer. Author of 5 books on IT's A Wonderful Life.
