Yellow Balloon[the band] made "Yellow Balloon"[the song] their own by putting their own stamp on it. HOWEVER, it was first recorded by Jan and Dean, their original sounds similar to YB's more famous cover, but it lacks the energy. One of the rare instances where the cover version is better.

Pretty unknown group. I remembered loving the song back in the sixties. Couldn't remember what it actually sounded like but when I saw the CD I just had to buy it. Luckily I still loved the track.
