Mercedes-Benz ESF Concept

The ESF 2009, based on the Mercedes S 400 HYBRID, is the first Experimental Safety Vehicle to be built by Mercedes-Benz since 1974.

Among the highlights of the ESV was the Mercedes-Benz unveiling of the ESF 2009 an experimental safety vehicle with trailblazing innovations including: inflatable metallic sections to afford more stability to structural components within fractions of a second, and a Braking Bag housed within the vehicle floor and more.

how the hell does the brake bag work? it looks like it just pops ur wheels off the ground an make u lose traction when u need it most

okay the point of the bag is to push down on the ground to cause more traction and stop the viechle faster

omg that brake bag feature is PERFECT! only one problemoo, the bags are too weak :p. just image if the bags were sooo powerfull that you can actually hop over the car u were about to hit! frikin genius!!! i think am onto to something big here!!

You know Mercedes dosent make the safest cars, and I think their cars DO have alot of tricks up their sleeves, dont get me wrong, its just that they should have had that tech already to make their cars as safe as their making them now. I mean like, look at Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Bentley, all those cars! Those are safe packages. I like Mercedes, I own a Mercedes, but I dont agree that they are the safest luxuries around! But I know they try to make them as safe as they can
