Jeremy visits our nearest and dearest neighbour, France to find out what the French people really think of the British.

This is perhaps, the most controversial part of the series, where Jeremy eats an Ortolan Bunting, the sale of which is prohibited in France (and the EU as a whole I think?).

Apologies for the really bad video quality, I did not capture this, although would love to come across a better quality version.

  • Just chill and stop being so German about it, I thought Clarkson portrayed the French quite well actually, I mean... the captain of that boat, Alain Robert the fearless spiderman, the helpful Jaguar driving motorists, the sophisticated foodies...

  • Oh get over yourself. It's a TV programme, made by a Brit, for a British audience. It's a balanced mix of French cliches (which the British audience find humorous), and French facts (both well-known ones, and unknown ones) which the British audience find interesting. Clarkson doesn't in any way show a negative view of France. You're just a French person who has watched this, heard only what they want to hear, and now wants something to moan about.

  • This documentary is actually a very positive portrayal of France. Sure Clarkson plays up the fact that the English do not stereotypically get on with the French, but it is obvious his maverick sensibilities would well-suit the laissez-faire attitude of the France.

  • that was good, I'm surprised he didn't talk to Alain Prost or some of the other French racing drivers in F1 or rallying.

  • France is cooooooooooooool

  • @unknownunknowns It's a country reviewing programme hosted by Jeremy Clarkson. How much more clear could you get. Lol. Everybody knows that Jeremy is a huge fan of Britain and not so much of every other country.

  • @flimsyshow At least, there should at be some warning or clear indicator for this.

  • @unknownunknowns I REALLY doubt they set out with an informative guide in mind when approaching to these series.

  • @PenileDictum Except that it was supposed to provide an IMFORMATIVE guide to Europe and instead he just 'cherrypicked' certain things to fit his view/entertainment of it and 'idiots' may end up believing in him. So, if I wanted a more imformative source I'm inclinded to depend on Rick Steves, eventhough he's a American who lives in Seattle, Washington.

  • Clarkson is a great guy ! greeting from France !

  • "Its like being in a clan meeting" LOL thumbs up if you think that was funny.

  • IN RUSSIA, THEIR BIRDS EAT YOU!
