Anyone veteran salmon fisherman knows that getting kings to bite when water temperatures are hovering around 69 degrees can be a chore. Those are the conditions that Pautzke director of operations Chris Shaffer and pro staffers Kevin Davis of Catch The Drift Guide Service faced in late September on the Oswego River in Upstate NY. Nevertheless, Davis doctored up skein cured in Fire Cure and found that when offered the right bait salmon - and trout - will feed in warm water - as shown here in the fall of 2011. While dozens of snaggers lined the bank, we caught and released several dozen fish this morning - all hooked in the mouth!

  • I used to drive up there from Maryland every fall. Miss it

  • Look at all those Salmon....holy nuts!! Wish we had those kinds of runs in VT.

  • why you don't use nylon spawn

  • Another spectacular vid. Those eggs work fabulously. How heavy is your anchor? It keeps you in some pretty swift water for sure.
