Carpenters Union Fighting Wage Theft

Due to the economy, a lack of awareness of their rights and slow enforcement, an increasing number of nonunion construction workers are being cheated out of their pay. Many work for weeks without getting all or any of the money they're owed for their work. The Carpenters union has stepped up its efforts to help these workers get paid, with some success. "Everybody who works has the right to be paid."
