  • Haha you bought a cutco?! What an idiot

  • ....my shun chef's knife can do that with a stail baguette too. Its also no serrated. :)

  • If you wanted to cut baguette, bread of any sort, we do have a breadcutter with a nice, smooth cut with no ripple effect!

  • my friend's grandmother has a set since 1962 and hers had been sharpened 3 times and thats about it. she loves her pairing knife the most out of the whole set

  • @bobjoemagee Ahh, I missed that part. sorry. I thought they were saying that they can't ensure that their own sharpeners wouldn't invalidate their own warranty. Ofc that was a dumb assumption on my part.

  • @thor123422 Because other knives have other grinds and steels. How is that odd? "we insure our own knives only". There is nothing odd, or non-professional/reliable, about that at all. Can it push cut a piece of printer paper? If not, it's dull.

  • @bobjoemagee MAC Knife, Inc. USA will not be held responsible for the effect of its sharpening services on the warranty for knives other than those manufactured by MAC. In many instances, using our services to sharpen your knives may void the manufacturer's warranty. - taken from the MAC website. Doesn't seem very professional or reliable. I've had 1 knife sharpened once out of my collection and bought new ones as I went. My current ones are just as sharp as the new or sharpened.

  • @bobjoemagee and just for reference, you can buy Wustoff from wal-mart for 10$ and that is about what they are worth at that price. Henckels has sold out the brand name and everything from shit wal-mart knives to 3000 dollar sets can be manufactured under the name Henckels. Henckels is no longer something you can bring up in reference to quality.

  • @bobjoemagee I sold for three years and also own a set of Shun, Wustof, and Henckels for comparison. Cutco destroys them all and none of them will come sharpen or replace my current set other than Cutco. If you got them to please give me the password. Even now that I don't work for them anymore I would still wager any amount of money on Cutco because I've lived the comparison and lets just say I haven't been gentle on any of my sets.

  • @thor123422 Shun, Wustof, Henckels, Mac. etc. Seriously, that's off the top of my head. Lots of companies do that. "Hey, we'll replace your crap knife because you paid us what it's worth" isn't something that makes me want to buy a shitty knife that is wayyyyyy too expensive. Unless you've had it sharpened at least 5 times, I guarantee you it's not sharp. You may think it's sharp because you use crappy dull knives every day, but it's not sharp.
