Selena-hey david...you know how you said that you used to cut yourself
David-yeah

David-(doesn't say anything)
Selena-if you tell me why...then I'll tell you why I cut myself

Selena-(smiles)
David-when I was thirteen...my dad died...and well my mom couldn't be without him so a few months later she committed suicide
Selena-oh david....I am so sorry
David-it's ok this happened a long time ago
Selena-(doesn't say anything)
David-so I moved in with my aunt and uncle and I was just really depressed so I tried cutting myself but it just didn't help me at all
Selena-so how did you get better?
David-(shrugs)idk I just got by
Selena-oh
David-how about you? Why do you do it?
Selena-well it all started like around march of this year(tells him what happened with miley)so I just felt neglected and is started getting depressed, and I started cutting...then my best friend(thinks about logan)he found out and he made me stop then a bit later he told me he loved me and we started dating, but then just a few weeks later he died in a car crash and after I found out that another good friend of mine left me without saying good bye, he left the state and idk anything about him anymore
David-(grabs her hand)I am so sorry
Selena-(shrugs)it's ok
David-but cutting yourself isn't going to help anything...and I know when people say that it's like 'shut up, you don't know' but I've been there and I do know(shrugs)cutting just makes it worse, there are other things that can make you forget about your problems

Selena-well cutting helps
David-does it really? Or did it just help the first few times
Selena-(doesn't say anything)
David-(looks at her)it doesn't help anymore does it?
Selena-(looks at him)no
David-then you need to stop or you'll keep doing it and doing until you end killing yourself
Selena-I just don't know what else to do
David-don't worry...I'll help you get over the cutting
Selena-(half-smiles)(hugs him)

Selena-my friend has a car

Selena-yeah he works with me
s.dad-(confused)since when do you have a friend?
Selena-we just became friends...his name is david
s.dad-and you two were hanging out?
Selena-yeah...and we had dinner together

s.dad-well...ok then...are you going to hang out with him again?
Selena-probably...I was thinking maybe if he comes with me I could go to demi's party this weekend
s.dad-that sounds good...just don't get too attached with this guy

David-yeah I know but I had nothing to do so I thought maybe I could stop by and visit you
Selena-(smiles)well hey...but you know we can't have visitors

Selena-actually I was gonna ask you the same thing
David-you were?
Selena-(nods)yup...it's just that my friends having this party and I was wondering you wanted to come with me
David-a high school party?
Selena-yeah I know it's lame but my dad really wants me to go and if I go he'll get off my back for a while...and I don't want to go by myself

David-I hope you don't mind but I told my friend I was coming to house tonight, he's having some kind of gathering
Selena-(shrugs)it's cool
David-c'mon(gets out of the car)

David-(walks inside his friends house)
Selena-(follows him in)(looking around)(sees people drinking and getting high)
