  • I have now a bag of almonds in my car and in my cabinet at work. When hungry in traffic, I have a few of them that I chew very slowly.

  • Almonds are high in calories...depend on what your weight goals are...if you are trying to lose weight you may want to watch your consumption...other than that they are very healthy for you

  • I usually eat a fist full of raw almonds every day. I would never touch roasted almonds because high heat will destroy the beneficial benefits of the oil in the almonds.

  • Almonds contain one of the most important mineral - magnesium. But you cannot compare their protein to the quality protein of meat because they contain incomplete amino acids.

  • Almonds,like All nuts and Seeds,are too rich in unsaturated fats that are Not Good for Humans! we are warm blooded.. we need stable fats! Saturated One.. butter, dripping, cacao butter, coconut oil.. please read Ray Peat website and dont eat nuts/seeds anymore!!

  • hey mike. this is awesome brother. Ive been eating a handful of almonds a day with a glass of water to help it down when they get a little dry. But this has helped me alot in loosing weight. great tip and awesome info. I wanted to make sure and double check the health benefits on almonds and you tell it all. again thanks.

  • Agreed on the almond part both the kernel of a fruit and the brothers but if you want to keep the fat off your body, watch out for soy, it's not as healthy as you think. It's estrogenic which promotes fat gain and also an inflamatory.

    and if you don't mind do you think you could inbox me a list of MUST eat foods, I'm 5'4'' and about 135 pounds. I play volleyball, run track, and play lax. I enjoy snacking of course but i also LOVE healthy food. I just have trouble staying on track... aha any tips?
