This tutorial explains how to use the spreadsheet Open Office Calc (or Excel) to create a best fit line visually. It gives instructions for plotting multiple sets of data on the same graph, formatting how the data is plotted (as a line instead of as points), and shows how to put error bars on the graph. For more information see http://c21.phas.ubc.ca/article/using-spreadsheets. Created by Shaun Dychko, produced by UBC Physics and Astronomy Outreach.
