The 6 tracks in this video are from a 33 1/3 record album. The date of the recording and where is unknown. I found these tracks (in digital form) from my own personal files of sound effects and radio production files that I had from my days in radio. These recordings were misplaced within my disks of sound effects and production audio bites. So, I figured, I would post them for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you SO much for this! I'm a life coach who does a lot of work on Skype and telephone. Have had a couple of issues lately!

The album This Is A Recording is on CD now. You can find it on laugh.com or Lily Tomlin's website.

In March of '71, in a trip to the States, I watched 3 episodes of the TV program that all my friends were raving about- "Laugh In". Vastly different from anything that I had ever seen before, I liked it. But I loved, absolutely adored, Lily Tomlin as Ernestine. Nothing ever made me laugh as much as Lily with the possibly exception of Carol Burnett in "The Gary Moore Show". I bought "This Is a Recording" and heard it daily for months; got 2 more copies and heard them weekly for the next 40 years.

My grandma worked for Ohio Bell for 32 years and retired right before they broke up AT&T in the early 1980's. She LOVED Ernestine and had this album. We used to listen to it when I was younger and laugh our asses off.

I had this on vinyl back in the day. The album title is "This is a Recording." It was recorded live at the Ice House, Pasadena in 1971.
Thanks for posting it, it brings back so many fond memories. =)
