@nailgirllover Yes my friend ! No limitations, as good or even better that any of those expensive 3D software. Go to....blender dot org and get your free copy. Go for version 2.5, that's the latest and it really rocks !

in order to make the arms and legs move this easily must you make the whole character in one shape sort of speak?
coolstermurph 5 months ago
@coolstermurph I do not understand very well your question, however legs and arms are posed by the Armature, nothing to do with shape keys. The easy and smoothness of movements is achieved by deleting unnecessary keys on the curves as well as handling a bit the keys to get soft shapes on curves.

@blenderguy2008 do you happen to have a video that shows this process of deleting unecessary keys. you see i am trying to create simple character but what is not simple is moving my character. i try moving hand and in order to do that i have to click too many vertices to move it.
coolstermurph 5 months ago
@coolstermurph No my friend that's not the right way...you must create an Armature ( Bone Skeleton ) then assign vertices to that bone (weight Painting), so when you move the bone all the vertices follow the bone like they were attached to it. Search for weight Painting in wiki Blender. You can also search here on YouTube, blenderTutorials, blenderboy etc they show this process is simple. ( Also what you said is called shape keys for gestures, lipsync etc but not good for posing characters.
