The Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam) invited the AR+RFID Lab to present during one of their Friday Night events. On Friday nights the Van Gogh Museum is open until 22.00 and there's always something special going on. For this project a team of students from the KABK: Marieke Bijster, Joris van Dam, Martin Hoorweg, Hannah Mjolses, Matthijs Munnik, Alrik Stelling, Susanne Vruwink and Arjen Zuidgeest joined the Lab, under supervision of Wim van Eck.
Together with a felow Art Science student Matthijs Munnik we created a installation that enables you to look at the famous painting Bedroom from Vincent van Gogh on several different ways. The Van Gogh Museum in amsterdam provides us with several different scans of the painting for example a infrared scan, uv light scan, x-ray scan and several others. We tried to think of a creative and interactive way to let visistors of the Van Gogh Museum look at these several different scans. This resulted in a the installation where the visitor is enabled to select which of the scans he wants to look at. Form more information go to:
