Of the many, many renditions of this lovely old 19th-century tune, Bing Crosby's remains my own favorite. I used one mike, two guitars and two voices in real time, then added a third vocal part later for the last chorus. Apologies to Kansas, whose state song this is, for mangling the second verse lyrics. It's the thought that counts.

  • hey alonzo

i love that tremolo guitar sound you use here

don't ever remember seeing you use a martin twelve string

i'll be humming this for the rest of the day

    and that's a good thing

    true americana at it's finest

    peace,rich

  • @kidderminsterbro Fooled you, I guess! A: That's a 6-string, as I pulled the low strings off the 12 and left the high strings in "Nashville" tuning; and B. It's a Martin knockoff, a Takamine!

  • Nice one Alonzo

  • Just lovely. -Tim

  • Great harmonies you do on this, as always.

Liked your Nashville high guitar so much I converted a short-scale guitar. Love the jangly sound.
