As a 12-year-old in 1992, Severn Cullis-Suzuki made the world stop and pause with her call to the Rio Earth Summit for action to protect the environment and promote sustainable development. Now two decades later as a mother, Severn returns to Brazil in June 2012 for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) and tells Green Cross what has changed since 1992 and what does this latest major environmental event need to achieve in order to safeguard our planet's and population's future.
