...this is for 2009, I couldn't find more recent ones of a complete season. I believe as of the end of the 2010 season App state led by about 400 people in avg attendance. Probably due to a poor season for UM. Either way UM and App state dominate this category in the FCS. Both schools should be proud and there is no reason to argue over it. Cat/Griz FCS playoff games 2011 will only be shown on ESPN 3, an internet ONLY station that is NOT available to MOST residents in the State of Montana where both the Cats and Griz have home playoff games dec 3. but the local stations arent allowed to broadcast the game on tv

Would you like to provide a source stating that Montana is the top average attendance in FCS? I am 100% they don't, and im also sure that Appalachian holds that with an average attendence of 29,000. I'm not mad, Im just saying that you're not right.

@appstatefanrs considering the university of Montana has the highest average attendance in the fcs how does app state have higher attendance. And I have seen your stadium it's not that great I love our stadium though I have lived in both stares (but I was born in camp lejeune by Jacksonville which is no where near Boone. And only lived there a year but I have visited.) and personally prefer Missoula. But if you like app state and boone thats cool I have no problem with that I kinda like app sta

Wow reading these comments, can we just agree that this was an amazing game with 2 evenly matched teams? Im an App fan and im not the least bit bitter about this game. It was one of the best I have ever seen.
