  • I love this tempo...have heard it faster and slower. I also love the directors control, watching the procession, communicating with the piano. The guitar gets it, the choir gets it. You should use this hymn more than once a year, though!! I was thinking about the strong harmony, too, but thought it might be somewhat intentional. With large congregation participation, that could make sense. Ill check out more of your videos. I hope you do some a capella. You are very, very good!!!

  • Praise God! You are very encouraging. This will help us continue to provide music and lead the people in praise songs. We promise to share to the public what we are doing. Pray for us for continued strength and fire.

  • why are there like 20 lay-people in the procession?

  • The pastor wants every minister of the mass to join the procession and singing the entrance song.

  • Omg - Finally another group who sings it as fast and upbeat as we do! Nice!!!!! Where is your church located? This is very nice.

  • We are in Glendale, Ca but this one is in St. Bernard in Los Angeles. We also do many outreaches and big events in Southern Ca.

  • at our church we sing that

  • It is upsetting to me that in the first views of the choir singing the people of the congregation look very disconnected and later on the view is the same, they are making no attempt to join in, less effort at harmony and more at inclusiveness would make this a more inspiring video....the entire congregation should join in the praise!

  • I'm not a Christian, and I like this song. You'all have some good hymns. This one in particular was based on Francesco de Bernardone's Canticle of the same name, and the man was good, regardless his religious leanings.

  • @auntbecky Are you saying John Paul was a false prophet?

  • @jesusthroughmary look in the mirror for false prophets and to rome for the falsest of all. May the lord send us another like John Paul the Great!

  • What are you talking about ?

  • What's wrong with modern Christian music?

I'm a devout Catholic and I believe that music of any kind can worship The Lord just as well! =3

( Of course, don't take that as "any lyrics" as well. I mean anything that worships Him in word, it doesn't matter what type of sound it is. )

Please don't be a hater, it's not fitting for a Christian, and especially not a Catholic. =(

  • I prefer it to go faster than this, that's how they sing it at my church camp. But I guess that helps it be more interesting for little kids, This song really lifts me up when i'm down. :D

  • Wow, you just can't help yourself, can you? I suppose you want a Latin mass and the music to be nothing other than chants? I love all of the modern music of the Catholic Church, particularly the music of the Saint Louis Jesuits and Marty Haugen. It is part of what really makes mass meaningful to me. Face it, times have changed... it's not pre-Vatican II anymore.
