From http://RidleyReport.com - Man openly carries firearm near Obama town hall. That's lawful here in New Hampshire, but could his sign be interpreted as advocating violence?

@LiveFreeOrDie1985 The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the gun owner and in favor of gun ownership according to the Constitution. But if Obama is able to name one more Supreme Court justice future challenges to local laws passed against gun ownership may not survive a challenge even it it gets all the way to the Supreme Court. Just one of many reasons to vote Obama out of office in November 2012. Thanks. I'm starting to like New Hampshire.

@LiveFreeOrDie1985 Look up McDonald vs Chicago a supreme court decision upholding gun owners rights. A Chicago ordinance was passed making it illegal to own even a handgun. The Supreme court eventually upheld the 2nd amendment 5-4. Obama has placed Kagan and Sotomayer to the SCOTUS. If he is reelected and is able to place one more, then local and state govts may pass laws against gun ownership and the SCOTUS may start voting 5-4 against gun ownership. It is getting bad.

I saw William on (I think) Chris Matthews and was impressed by him. I'm impressed by his knowledge of his rights and by his willingness to demonstrate them openly. I think he has guts and by exercising his rights he informs people who aren't even aware that they have them as they are slowly being removed beyond the point of eventual no return

@FettFan42 The best way to lose a right is to not exercise it.

Can someone please explain to me how cesspools like mass can put restrictions on peoples second ammendment right when the supreme court said gun ownership is a civil right protected by our bill of rights.
Also explain how the goverment is allowed to steal out Machine gun rights with the illegal unconstitution ban of 86.

I fully agree with the right for individuals to have access to armaments as a means of self defense. However, self defense is to be used RESPONSIBLY and APPROPRIATELY. Bringing a firearm to a protest at a town hall is not self defense. It is an openly political statement designed to implement shock and awe tactics which devalue the valid arguments for gun rights.

Most shooters are actually really scared, not of suicide obviously, but of getting shot somebody else. They want to stay in controll or they simply havn't got the stomach for it.

William Kostric I enjoy Chris Mathews and thinks he asked great questions. I do not like guns, but they are legal, necessary and Americans should protect their rights. You stood up for what you believe and what is right. I think you did an excellent job supporting your rights and your argument. If more gun owners were like you, people would not feel so negative toward guns. EXCELLENT JOB FROM AN ANTI GUN PERSON!
