How do we make lasting change? As you probably already realize, it's not enough just to read a book. Lasting change is not about insights, and it's not about ideas... To make change that lasts we need to have experiences and we need to take the time to reflect on them. In other words we need to HAVE experiences and we need to HOLD them in our awareness. When we take the time to reflect on the shifts in what we feel, when we bring our awareness to what those changes actually FEEL like, we can integrate that new information into our psychological structures. And then we can keep the change we make.
