Psychiatric Aides jobs are responsible for taking care of mentally ill, injured, or disabled patients in nursing care facilities, hospitals, and mental health settings. Typically working with other members of a health care team such as psychologist, psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists, professionals with psychiatric nursing jobs perform a range of functions to support the team. Many psychiatric nursing jobs a high school diploma or its equivalent is a sufficient level of education although different qualifications may exist for different States. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics there will be a slight increase in psychiatric nursing job employment over the 2006 to 2016 decade.
