Demo of the first Apple Macintosh by Steve Jobs, January 1984, in front of 3000 people. Andy Hertzfeld captured the moment quite well in his retelling: "Pandemonium reigns as the demo completes. Steve has the biggest smile I've ever seen on his face, obviously holding back tears as he is overwhelmed by the moment. The ovation continues for at least five minutes before he quiets the crowd down."

I just watched the introduction of the iPad 3 on Apple's website and it is NOTHING, it is DIRT compared to this presentation. The good die young. :( Such a huge impact on the computer world today!

With only 128 kb of RAM the Mac graphical user interface (GUI) that Apple (and Microsoft) "copied" from Rank Xerox years ago, made the Mac slowed down much. When engineers proposed to put a hard drive on the computer, Steve rejected the idea, so the Mac only had only a 3.5 "disk drive making some tasks heavy and tedious. When engineers proposed to install some internal fans, Steve rejected the idea again.So that many Macintosh failed due to overheating and got the nickname of the "beige toaster"

As Chicago Mayor Harold Washington said of the corrupt former Mayor Daley, “I’m not glad he’s dead, but I’m glad he’s gone.” Nobody deserves to have to die - not Jobs, not Mr. Bill, not even people guilty of bigger evils than theirs. But we all deserve the end of Jobs’ malign influence on people’s computing.

@blueyesalexya Can't really say it sucks but I will say its complete bullshit how when we manage to get the money to buy lets say the ipad2, by the time we purchase it and play around to get use to it, the fucking ipad3 comes out!!!! now thats bullshit, they never give anyone enough time to actually enjoy their product, i bought an ipad2 about 4-5 months ago and now since i bought it for over $500, if i want to sell it i want get a fraction for what i paid..
