This a way i came up with to get rid of heating of the nitro engine heating for good.
if you are using TRX 3.3 in a very hot day like here ( F122 ) on the service
just add 7ml of octane booster to an almost full tank of your truck and you'll be more than happy.

  • hello

i didn't used that engine before Pellogt so i don't know it's uptimum temp that it can reached, although i used the AE stock .28 engine and it's never goes higher thatn 240F under extreme weather here.

with .28 engines i would these steps to ensure cooling down it :

    1. make sure the cooling head are clean

    2. reachen the HSN

    3. use a COLD glow plug

the step no. 3 must solve your issue

  • I think my engine is overheated, and maybe destroyed. It starts bad goes badly. What do i have to do to fix this, new engine?

  • @zzxcrozzy

if there's no resistance when you rotate the flywheel, this mean that at least you should replace the piston sleeve or buy a new engine .

if you're going to repaire your engine you should check also for any other possible damaged internal parts.

if your choice is to buy another engine get O.S .21TM , it can resist heat better than the trx 3.3

i did placed one instead of the the stock 3,3 engine.

  • Hi , it's brand name is ( OUTLAW ) it comes in different bottles and you should notice a stallion on it . Just one :

always uses 1ml of ocatane booster per each 10ml of nitro fuel.

    you're welcome :)

  • thank you, i will try this :)

  • @BIGSHAGGYDOGG

    Hi :)

i hope you'll enjoy this way to cool down your RC car.

Just make sure to add 1ml of octane booster for each 10ml of nitro fuel:

if your RC car holds 100ml add only 10ml of ocatne booster to 90ml of nitro fuel.

BTW, you're in Canada isn't it cold enough there to help your engine running cold ?

    Good luck :)

  • hi... i have a axial .28 spec 1, and is idle reach temp of 310F using 20% nitro, and factory settings needles. there's no air leaks in the engine or tank, what do you think?

  • hi, my rc runs very hot in hot weather, i would like to try your idea of adding octane booster, what is the one called that you use?

    thanks

  • Kuhnfur I will aggree and disagree these motors run on a mix of nitro alcohol and castor/synthectic oils. These engines rely on detionation to run yes they diesel the octain of the alcohol is around 105 and of you want the motor too run cooler use a 33% it runs cooler also turbo glow plug head from rb mods runs 35* cooler also get more air movin over the motor!! That was the best

  • np, just the facts, enjoy your motor;-)
