Wish I could have caught you guys with your search for holster problems. I carry my Pro Compact .45 in a Don Hume IWB.

Here's the solution: For whatever model compact you have, buy a leather holster for the full-sized model. Place your weapon in the holster, mark where you want the length to be cut to and either cut it yourself with a saw (watch your fingers!) or, take it to a shoe repair shop and let them do it. I did the latter so they could stitch around the bottom prevent fraying. Great fit.

@wegburn2011 I use Remington UMC FMJ rounds to practice with and I found that Federal Hydra-Shoks do not jam against the ejector port in mine.

@wegburn2011 Is it the 12 round magazine that you are having issues with? These were commonly known to cause feeding issues. Looking at the lips on mine, the are disfigured compared to the 10 round magazine. Call taurus and get them replaced. They have been known to send 2 magazines to replace the defective one. I have this firearm in .45 ACP and that is the only issue I have had with it.

not sure if the older pro models are the same as newer ones, but you have to move the safety down to decock and not up

The manual recommends Hornady XTP ammo, which I believe is a hollow point round. I have a problem when using FMJ ammo. A live round of FMJ will jam against the ejector port if you want to clear the chamber, which is a big problem for me because I can’t justify shooting self defense rounds at the range. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I could take a dremel to it and just grind a hair off and the issue would be resolved, but I'm certain that would void the life time warranty.

I've got the 24/7 Pro DS Std. in 9mm and agree 100% with all the positives you shared. Just left you a comment on your G Code gear review page - am really hoping that they would or could put together a kydex holster for the Taurus 24/7. My other question/request is what sights I can get to put on the pistol? Mine came with the Heinie "straight 8" 2 Dot system and I can't stand it. Just want a good basic 3 dot system or maybe 3 dot in night sights if available. Thoughts?

I thought the red indicator in the back disappears when you decock the gun. Or is that a different model?
