Old locks and Skeleton Keys

I talk about the door locks on the house I live in. Also I show the skeleton keys and lock in action, going around the upstairs locking and unlocking doors around my bedroom.

nice old locks there and yep our house has those same locks except no keys and most are broken but ya know you should wait till uxwbill and furrhead goes to sleep and lock them in their room..now that would be one hell of a wakeup call for them lol

please help me... I need a skeleton for an indoor lock (the key is missing) well, someone has taken it from me & not telling me where it is ¬__¬ how can I get something to lock it myself ? they key lock people want a lot of money just for another key !

My bedroom door is like this but the the door is closed and locked and the key is broken I can not enter/exit by door I gotta exit via window

I have a cousin who's has a collection of skeleton keys (like over 50) he got them to use the locks on his house. Well to make a long story short he tried all of them and none of them worked. LOLS

@eliw4232 yes that does suck though it wasnt broke just had to spray some wd40 in the lock and it final let me unlock it

i live in a near 100 year old house and most of the doors are like this also ive seen the same hardware for sale brand new at menards

Wouldn't it suck if the lock broke in the locked position, while you're in the room you're locking... and no one else is home.

i have a door like yours only its white and rite now the lock is brocken. lol. also i was at my uncles house and all of his bedroom doors have it identical to urs which is really cool. i didnt no that it was specail i just thought it was some sorta lock thats all. Cool Keykeepr. :)

These old locks are *major cool*. The houses I grew up in as a child had them, too. I always had a skeleton key and used to lock my bedroom door frequently. Today's interior "locks" aren't nearly as cool, as you can open them with a nail through the little hole in the center. Plus, you couldn't lock anyone *in* anywhere :0

I live in a old farm house it has all the same locks like yours believe it or not 15 years ago I was in the small Woolworth in my town now long closed . I was in there and found they were selling 5 different skeleton keys I bought 2 sets of 10 so now I have keys to fit all my locks in my house funny they were .50 each now I can not get them for less than 5 bucks each . Back then security was not like it is now.
