We decided it would be fun to shoot a time lapse video of Pacific Yurts staff setting up our 24' display model. This is the result. Enjoy! Visit our website at www.yurts.com or search for Pacific Yurts on Facebook and Twitter!

  • The platform (floor structure) is typically site-built prior to the yurt arriving. This is why it was not included in the timelapse of the yurt installation, which occurred over seven hours. Although plumbing could be added through the flooring, this particular yurt does not have plumbing.

  • it's not an yurt! it's called GER(mongol ger)

  • is there any plumbing?

  • The floor comes by magic ? Way over priced !

  • @GennBoy That is very expensive. You can get a AI Kit Dome home for less. AI dome uses 1/3 the energy of a well insulated home and it can survive a hurricane tornado wildfire lightening strike has a life expectancy of 500 years. IDK about you but I think I would rather pay the money to build the dome? Oh and concrete is a decent barrier to shield from radiation. Ron Paul 2012

  • @venomousbird Exactly ;) Then you do not need to spend over $30.000+ in a yurt, but you saved money on an "Invention" of your own!..I was talking about the "YURT" we are seeing on the video, I did pay a call to Pacificyurts and that's why I said what I said!

  • @GennBoy you could build your own out of scrap wood (make strips with a bandsaw) and a few tarps? insulate it with shredded newspapers or dead leaves in bags stitched together or something like that? use your brain!

  • OMG I love how they bow at the end of the video!

  • Love the whole idea of one me and my bf plan to make one hope it's as easy as this seems

  • I have a friend who has a yurt in his backyard, when I 1st saw it, I thought: Wow, pretty nice, and pictured myself in one living a relaxed time, well, I came to find out, they are really not cheap at all, and researching, found out, it is really not worth the money as an option for a permanent living space, since after spending over $30.000+ for a reduced-limited around 700Sq-Feet of Yurt, makes you think, other options can be consider for half of the price, so my dream of yurt, puffed-off! :(
