  • can you help me please, i have a STIHL FS 55R trimmer and i have no idea how to turn it on , STEP BY STEP please, i have a BF but he recently hurted his back so basically he is in and out of the doctor`s office, i have never touch the trimmer, i moslty do the lawnmowing but not the trimming, so now i need a video showing step by step how to do it for all us girls , thank you .

  • @erickafollie hi, i don't have one to make a video but make sure the switch is in the "on" position, turn the choke on, push the primer bulb a few times and pull until it starts and let it warm up. usually pressing on the throttle will turn the choke off. you can also go to a local stihl dealer and they should show you free of charge

  • Nice video, I've found that using a blowtorch can help too if the carbon is really sticky, although I've noticed with my new strimmer it doesn't smoke at all so I don't think it should be as much of a problem. These are cool machines :]

  • A year ago my Homelight leaf blower had the same symptoms, even after cleaning/rebuilding and adjusting the carb. So I took apart the muffler, and realized the carbon screen was clogged, just like in this video. I attempted a wire brush, but that didn't help, since the carbon was between the holes. So as guesswork, I decided to use my pressure washer on it, and then immediately dried it with the air compressor. After that, it ran great. Do you think this is an appropriate method?

  • you think this could happen to my echo hand blower? its like an 2001 and ran strong everyday and latly its been having this problem

  • Is a homescaper series stihl even a real stihl!?!?? Can someone tell me?? Haha look at that plastic handle.. I say leave 2 stroke engines to the legendary makers the japanese!!! Ha-ha-ha homescaper....
