I dont think boiling adds much to the experience of eating fresh bread. I actually prefer non boiled baked bread most times. perhaps its a gentile thing ? ah

Am I wrong, but I love these vids, but if we are being traditional here, which way to do this and that, a bacon bagel.....arent bagels Jewish food...or am i wrong. I do know that what this man cooks looks wonderful, thats all I want to know.

Really. Bacon bagels that aren't boiled? Sorry, as Jay said, this guy doesn;t get it. These are "rolls with holes", not bagels. Even fruit or raisen bagels are pretty far from the tradition. Certainly some people eat jam on a bagel, but you put the jam in the dough!

I live in California and we boil our bagels. Soft bagels are for supermarkets.

No boil bagels also don't have the crispy outside and soft inside, pretty much bread with a hole.
