"Each season uses a different recording of the opening theme "Way Down In The Hole," against a different opening sequence. This season, the fourth, the theme is performed by DoMaJe, and was arranged and recorded specifically for the show. The group, DoMaJe, is made up of five Baltimore teenagers; Ivan Ashford, Markel Steele, Cameron Brown, Tariq Al-Sabir, and Avery Bargasse."

And yes, I agree - this was my favorite of all the song versions, including season 5!

Double edge: so glad it's back on (season 5 just started), so sad it's the last season.

I like the original the best but this is definitely a great cover. The concept of the same tune but a different cover each season is also just a cool concept. The Wire is the best show on television, period.
