  • He IS using an extra friction (point) while belaying attached to his side with a carabiner........

  • Thank you, gonna try it out.

  • I put a video for this method on you tube (first i have to edit) in about a week so you can see more easy how to do....

  • The way doing this way.....

Normaly "irata" way to make a pull thru has sometimes a problem with undo the knot because you pull the 2 (alpine) knots at the same time.

In this methode you use a sling on the knots so you pull them seperately (more easy). The extra line we use for safety, a different size different color, so you know that's the pull line (you can't have a problem to take the wrong rope)

    kind regards

  • I am going to post a video or two so people can see the differances within the industrial rope access industry. I hope you choose to allow them.

I would love to hear any feedback you may have regarding the many facets of rope access.

I have a contract coming up where I have to practice rope transfer inorder to navigate an overhang. I use a bosun's chair as opposed to a podium. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

    Thanks again

  • 5 stars! That was an awsome vid! I have been practicing high angle rope access for the last 14 years, however my skill set is very differant than what I see in your vid. It has inspired me to aquire IRATA training and certification. Who say's you can't teach an old dog new tricks! lol

I was wondering what possible doors will open after I get certified? I would imagine that other than rescue, Bridge work would be a big real life opportunity.

    Hope to hear from you.

  • Great Video, is there a reason you rigged your pull-thru that way ?......never seen it done that way.
