If he was trying to imitate Stallone, he wouldn't shouted "I AM THE LEUR!" instead of saying, "I am the Law." He was definitely more influenced by Clint Eastwood. Considering that's who was the inspiration for Judge Dredd in the first place, that's EXACTLY the sort of approach they should've gone for in the first place.
