After being without the camera for nearly 5 days, it's so good to see the Santa Cruz eaglet again! Mom (K26) arrives at 11:17am with food in her talons and proceeds to call loudly. Her eaglet must not think she's feeding it fast enough and steals the food from her. Mom patiently watches while the eaglet trys to figure out what to do next.
You can read about the struggle to reintroduce America's symbol, the Bald Eagle, to the Channel Islands as well as watch this miracle of nature via live eagle-cam by going to http://www.iws.org and clicking first on 'interactive' and then choosing one of the 3 nests to view.... 2 are on Catalina Island and 1 on Santa Cruz Island or go to: http://z7.invisionfree.com/CHIL_EagleCAM/index.php?act=idx

Super video! Loved Mom's calling ... not sure to whom! Sweet Peeps sure grabbed the food fast .... and is learning quickly how to feed him/herself.
