Re the British: We have tradition of standing up to European dictators. We are an island nation. Our relationship with the sea. Reform (not overthrow) of the Monarchy. Protestant succession, The beginings of parliamentry democracy. The Battle of Britain. Pulling together in a crisis, Unity (and rivalry) of the Home nations. All these define us.

Hmm interesting songs. The sort of things you describe are sadly what some of us view as the problem with Britain today and upset us about British society.
At the end of the day though it all comes down to personal experience and point of view. We all have different tastes although there are some things that should unite us and we should all take pride in being British. It is still a great country.
The Holloways did a song called "So This is Great Britain?" which I think sums up the UK quite well. My favourite part of it is the opening-
So this is Great Britain, and welcome aboard. A sinking ship that's full of s**t and someone's nicked the oars.

@britchick84 Hello :) Thanks for leaving a comment, I listened to the song you recommended, good lyrics but a little too "pop" for me.
Hope you enjoyed my video :)

You sound Irish or Scottish lol.
And tea. And the Queen. That's what pops into my mind when I think of British people :)

@helllox21194 No one has ever told me I sound Irish or Scottish before! :) Tea and the queen were the first things that popped in to my head too, but I wanted to try to make my video a little more interesting.
You should make a video reply too! ^_^
