Forrest Gump horror trailer

Forrest Gump done as a cheesy 1930s horror film, complete with a cheesy 1930s horror film trailer. Was the first time I ever used Final Cut. I messed up on some of the ins and outs since I had the markers overlapping, but I already deleted the source footage since it took up so much HD space. Oh well.

This was for a 1930s film class, so it probably helps to know a little history about the post WWI and Depression era. The assignment gave us the option of either writing a 5 page letter to a 1930s Hollywood executive pitching a movie, or making a trailer and writing a 1 page pitch. I had always wanted to do a mock trailer, so opted with the latter.

UPDATE 7/19/2009: Wow, I cannot believe this vid has over 30K views (though at least 15K are prob from me checking up on it haha). Since I graduated in December I no longer have access to my alma mater's media labs, nor have I had the motivation to make another vid but hopefully I'll think of something in the near future. Thanks again for the views.
