A short student film designed to be a non-dialogue character profile.
We were tasked with creating a piece that dealt with a personality aspect of our chosen subject. The concept behind this film is based on my feelings and thoughts.
You will no doubt notice the dark tone; I decided to show an aspect of my personality that is usually not seen. Unfortunatly, we were asked not to appear in front of the camera so I got my friend to act in my stead.

I am personally disappointed with this film because I did not put in as much effort as I could have and I was very badly prepared. I didn't even bother using a tri-pod!

Filmed entirely on handheld at SAE Institute and Hellingly Asylum. Edited with Final Cut Pro (my first time using it).

No animals were harmed in the making of this film. Except for me, who got caught on barbed wire fencing while breaking in to the abandoned asylum where this was partially filmed. I have since recovered. Thank you for all your love and support during this difficult time.

  • Climbing over a fence and through an open window is not breaking in. Its descriptions like that that give urbex a bad name. Apart from that good video.

  • The fence was of the barbed variety and the window had been smashed. Since it was private property, I count it as breaking in, though I technically didn't break anything.

And WTF is urbex? Sounds like a cough medicine.

  • Dude i actually love this it's well fucked up an weird!

  • Emm...thanks. I...was going for that fucked up look. Yes, that sounds good.

Lol, but seriously, it's pretty different from my original vision but I think it works on other levels.
