star jones is retarded and so is that guy. kids can get into trouble anytime anywhere for anything. their parents arnt with them all day everyday constantly making sure they dont fall down. and this is pretty much like camp. who wants to talk to their parents while their having a good time with all their friends at camp anyways, not me. this is a once in a life chance to do something different and fun and too look back on one day when their older, wish I couldve been there.

Back in '95 when I was 15 I went on a mountain camp for 3 weeks. We were 30 kids and we stayed in tents, we had no contact with the exterior world. We had to complete a lot of things and stuff. We had to care for each other. We had to do most of the things all by ourselves. Indeed we had some adults supervising us, but they didn't intervene in our daily schedule. I won't forget those 3 weeks, ever! That was the best time of my life so far.

and also they had the option to leave if they wanted to its not they were being forced to stay and then there are the kids who got gold stars. not only did it motivate them to work hard and get $20,000 it also gave them the chance to talk to their parents.
