The Philadelphia Police Department's Central Detectives Division is looking to identify the suspect who committed multiple thefts in Rittenhouse and Washington Square.

Incident #1:

On September 20, 2013, at 11:45am, the suspects, two males and one female, entered the Metropolitan Diner located at 264 South 19th Street in Rittenhouse. The female suspect approached the complainant and stood behind her while the two male suspects acted as lookouts. The female suspect then removed the complainant's wallet from her pocketbook and then all suspects left the store.

Approximately an hour later, the suspects went to a Home Depot located at 24th Street & Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia and used the complainant's credit cards to purchase over $1,500 in gift cards.

Suspect Description:
Suspect #1: Black male, 40 years-of-age, stocky build, 5'9″-6'0″, beard, wearing a flannel shirt button up shirt, and jeans.
Suspect #2: Black male, 40 years-of-age, stocky build, 5'10″-6'1″, beard wearing a light colored shirt, and jeans.
Suspect #3: Black female, 40 years-of-age, medium to heavy build, 5'5″-5'7″, wearing glasses, dark colored baseball style hat, light colored shirt, jeans, and carrying a large pocketbook possibly brown in color.

These suspects also committed a theft on January 10 2014, inside the Rice & Mix Restaurant located at 1207 Walnut Street in Washington Square using the same method.




Incident #2:

Theft 1207 Walnut St DC# 14-06-001404

On January 10, 2014, at 8:45 pm, the suspects, two unknown males and one female, entered the Rice & Mix Restaurant located at 1207 Walnut Street in Washington Square. One of the male suspects approached the complainant while the second male and the female suspects went to distract the clerk. The male suspect then sat down directly behind the complainant, a 32 year-old female, while she was eating. The suspect then placed his jacket over her purse, which was hanging on her chair back, and removed her wallet. The suspect then immediately got up, walked over to the other suspects, had a brief conversation, and then fled the restaurant in an unknown direction.

Suspect Description:
Suspect #1: Black male, 40 years-of-age, 5'9″-6'0″, full beard, wearing a blue Jeff hat, blue quilted pattern jacket, dark blue argyle print sweater, blue jeans and white sneakers.
Suspect #2: Black male, 40 years-of-age, 5'9"-6'0″, stocky build, wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a dark colored North Face Jacket, and blue jeans.
Suspect #3: Black female, 40 years-of-age, 5'6", medium build, glasses, wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a dark colored North Face Jacket, blue jeans, and carrying a tan colored pocket book.
