  • Right before my accident I was looking into buying an m3. I told myself I couldn't do an automatic one so now I'm "settling" for a g37. How were you able to incorporate the tiptronic (sorry I'm familiar with audi) into the hand control? Is it something whoever installs it should know how to do or did you do it yourself? Let me know, thanks so much.

  • @xander7d Sorry to hear about your accident...I was in your same shoes 2 years ago at this time. I explain more about the tiptronic control in my video "Driving with Menox Hand Controls." Basically, I bought the wiring harness from an aftermarket paddle shifter kit and wired it to a switch that I built into the left side of the hand control handle. It's the next best thing to having a manual. I suppose you could have the installers install this as well but they may not want to do it.

  • im also paralyzied just learing how to drive! , i think these are the same or simliar controlls im learning with! , 2,000?? what thats crazy , a few places i called they had them for 150$ , i can't afford 2,000 JUSt for handcontrolls , i also have to get my car modified , why do they make is so impossible for us cripples to drive or try to do anything? lmao im from ny and they said if i wanted to learn how to drive and your in a wheelchair you need to be evaultated and the was 450$ !

  • @BethieBucciero I agree, the prices are REDICULOUS for anything related to disability...but they know we need hand controls, wheelchairs, bathroom supplies etc so we get gouged. You may be able to find temporary hand controls for $150 (used for rental cars, ect) but a permanent set of controls like this are going to cost you.

  • Hey whats up man. I was in a motorcycle accident in November, a stupid driver made a left turn in front of one block from my house. I was in the hospital for two months and then I went to rehab for a month. I just got home and obviously I want to start driving. First of all your video showed me that I didn't need a stupid van which I thought I might need (I'm a T6 paraplegic) and thank you so much for that.

  • yeahh i found that out :( well its going to be my christmas present but its sooo ridic!

  • good job, is that a standard? Sick car.

  • Hey bro Im a T6/T7 para form when I was hit by a car on the highway and slid headfirst into a guardrail. I have a 2008 R6 that I just had a machinist build a set of landing gear for, and a 2001 Celica I just bought rolling on 18's that Im trying to save up for hand controls for. Im 25 and both my parents have passed away, so Im doing everything on my own living on disability. My email is Iceturd@gmail.com. Get ahold of me sometime, Id love to talk to you sometime about riding.
