Glee Makes 2012 Guinness Book Of World Records

Hi Glee fans! Thanks for checking out ClevverTV. Here at our studio, I'm Dana Ward with a Glee update. Today, as the official 2012 Guinness Book of World Records hits the public, we can announce that the popular tv show grabbed up a number-1 ranking. Glee won a world record for the most hit singles worldwide. To break it down, during the 2011 calendar year, the music-friendly song earned 48 top spots, specifically in the UK Top 75. In fact, Gleeks helped it garner 45 hit singles just the year before. And since music is a popular category for the Guinness Book, we can add in that Rihanna became the first female artist to get UK number-1 singles for 5 consecutive years. Plus the Black Eyed Peas earned the biggest-selling download in the UK, with "I Gotta Feeling" racking up more than 1-million downloads. So congratulations to all of the world record setters to be included in the 2012 book. Let us know if you think Glee will get even more hit singles for next year's record book. UK's not a country, its an empire made of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

Wales, England, Scotland are countries in Great Britain , if you add Northern Ireland you get the UK (United Kingdom) and if you add all the islands around it and the republic of Ireland you get the British Isles. The UK is a State so its a country and so are England Scotland Wales and North' Ireland, they are within the UNITED Kingdom they are United,get me.

Yes they rule under the same Head of the state and Parliament, but they have physical boundaries, for example you can see where Scotland ends and England begins. they are not one nation, but 4.

If you put together England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales together it makes Great Britain.

If you put together England, Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland, Scotland and Wales it forms the United Kingdom

You are incorrect when referring a Sovereign State as a country. Even in the general public, no one says they are from the UK. They are from England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

And actually, it depends what you consider a country.

The UK is a COUNTRY. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are constituent countries.

The word country usually refers to Sovereign State, such as France, Spain, etc.

Wales is not a Sovereign State (country), the UK is.
