well i didnt die but almost!!!

i was in shock for sure, when they walked out and i saw ben time stood still... LOL

Then i refoccused onto will and waved frantically...

I was literally speachless for the whole experience

at ding dongs both my freinds talked to ben and will for ages, but i just couldnt, i watched and smiled and held out my hands for a hug before we left

it was surreal

we waited near the front of the building, kind of in the side street, far enough away to not get moved on by security, and by the time security tried to move us to the back with everyone else in the line up que... we had already made friends with the other staff. Like the driver + ? Im shy, so it was mostly my friends doing... when the band came out we waved to and talked to will first, (who nobody else really noticed) and he told security "let them stay, they're cool" thanks will!

didnt know we were going til few hrs b$, got tix on ebay

WE waited after the show for at least an hour....

away from the andrew fangirl squealing hubbub....

we chatted to a driver guy, we were not hysterical so he let us closer, the band came out I waved to will, he came over, we talked,when we went over to the van, security tried to "move" us over to the "andrew que" but will said "no they are cool, they can stay" then he invited us to ding dongs.

this sounds really bizarre but how the heck did you get to meet them. I must have rang up every radio station in the months leading up and still wasn't lucky enough!! Do tell :)

omg best night ever!!! me and my friend rosie met ben and andrew! we got talking and he gave us 2 VIP Passes to their show! they are so awesome!!! i had a fucking ball!!! srsly they are the nicest people you will ever meet!

yeah fair enough, just to quote Andrew VanWyngarden in the lastest jmag; "Really, we just try to focus on playing our songs. All our favourite live acts don't really ham it up or try to get the crowd into it, you know?"... "I don't think that much about the audience, actually" he continues as if it's just occured to him.

So you can see how I got the impression they are arrogant.

Still, their debut record has got to be one of this year's best records

hey i met them after the show in Melbourne,

they are not arrogant, they are very nice,

im sure they were tired and hungover, friday was the first day off they had in ages and they were very exited about THAT.

I think maybe festival hall is better for their sound, and the fact that everyone is there just to see them makes the atmosphere better...
