Used my wood gas stove/forge for the heat source.
I checked the voltage coming off the solar panel after I ran the test. With the bright sun the voltage coming out was a little less than 12 volts. No wonder the flames were so high and the fuel burned up pretty fast. My bad. I have to adjust that so the fan runs at 6 volts.

  • You really need to show the inner workings

  • @eloid777 i guess you could get something for it to run through to cool it and connect it to an air compressor to push it into a container, you would have to make sure that its not the type that can cause sparks.. cos it might go bad real quick

  • If you don't think this is awesome, you need awesome lessons!

  • can u some how collect the gas instead of burning it as stove, like to collect the gas

use it at a later time?

  • Excellent! Thank you for sharing your creativity! Nicely Done!

  • Nice set up! Can you get the fan at radio shack? The solar AA chargers are cool too, nice and compact. I'll have to look for those. The charcoal can be used to restart the stove. It makes good fuel. Thanx!

  • @msw1000 IS IT DRAWING AIR DOWN!?!?!?!?!?!?

is the sun a big flashlight?

    YOU FAIL!!!!

  • i still dont know how u get gas off wood as ive heard of it before

  • it's beautiful

but is this for generating heat, or just a demonstration of how wood gas is generated?

because if it's for heat we could use the first source of heat from the stove below

  • what is the purpose of this set up. why make wood gas? I'm confused.
