You do know that God didn't write the Bible or Leviticus for that matter and that Leviticus is a scroll of history written by the scribes of an egyptian King named Rameses right?
Surely you knew that...

So how is it God was ultra violent with the plagues and smitings in the Old Testament, and then becomes much more mellow in the New Testament, especially after what was done to his son? Did he discover some deity strength Valium or what? Oh, and that bollocks about "old" laws? I might be imagining it, but isn't there at least one religion that still advocates stoning for adultery?

So then you don't have to follow the ten commandments? They are not listed word for word in the NEW testament. Only the five that were destroyed by Moses were listed.

Have you even read the bible?

Family Values - When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her.

I don't know what you mean by 'preaches slavery' but you are reading a series of rules and regulations regarding slavery.
There are different versions of slavery yes but that isn't the point.
Also its annoying you keep calling this the 'First Testament' but suit yourself I guess.

I'm just curious what is the point here?
Is there something to say about it?
Can we get some 'exegesis' or are you just reading out loud here or what is the opinion or thoughts on it?

I agree if it says it, it says it. people say those are old laws? well why even keep them in the Bible?

The Bible is a Faulty Book. If there are so many disagreements about the literal text, then it is flawed.
