  • Okay guys, I see that this video sparked some debate. The reason why it's done at slow-speed and with compliance is because it is intended for EDUCATIONAL purposes. If we were to do it at full speed, no one would be able to see the techniques for their own enrichment. Buwayaman's right. One needs to train at full-speed in an alive setting. However, considering the fact that few people have seen Filipino wrestling, they need to at see what the basic techniques look like in slow-motion.

  • Those were some unrealistic entries the training partner was feeding. At least be close enough to hit his face so he can get the proper timing down.

  • huh? hahaha... laftrip .45

  • Rommel would cut any of you doubters on here into tiny shreds ..have some respect

  • @Anodonomi464 Master Inosanto said it himself in one of the vids here on YT. He said that it was brought here by old pinoys keeping it in practice in garages, but nobody back in PI except small areas kept it alive. All the Japanese and Korean arts took root and popularity because of the American military.

  • i tried dumog 2-4 times.. it needs speed and a basic arnis or kali knowledge.. a good stand up defense with striking offense.. dan inosanto is a filipino and a good friend of bruce lee.. unfortunately, flipinos don't know dumog which we are to be proud of a friend of mine in california trains dumog and arnis and some western people loves it.. practically dumog is effective in street fighting, knife fighting and defending yourself with multiple enemies

  • dumog literally means "smother"

  • all pilipino martial arts, not actually extinct but practise by foreign countries not the filipino it self

  • good video man ,good speed to

  • if everybody fights at such speed, i'd be utterly invulnerable!

  • aaaaghh! ka linti ah! Dumog man! Dumog???!!!!

sure! like we have that here in the Philippines.. dumog man!

The dumog i see in this video is like Wing CHun mixed in w/ jiu-jitsu locking techniques.. what Filipino Dumog your showing there? NONE!
