  • Do these bikes have a power band ? Noob question I know

  • @1975supermike between 5 and 9 i would say, its been a while since i had this bike but i think it was that. I miss it

  • Also like I sed I put it on because its a good first bike so people looking for a first bike will research it this includes YouTube so it is just to show people the bike, no need for everyone to get so upset its just a video, u guys must have bigger things to threat about than this

  • Why the fuck is every one arguing about this bike, lets settle things, this vid was originally posted because there is no other sv top speed Vids on here of this shape sv, I know its not the quickest its a good first bike great at handling.

  • @carty944 I like to say that i appreciated this vid as i am looking to get this bike and was curious as to how fast it really was. so anyone who comes to criticize clearly has bigger issues.

  • @daWKin548 Awesome, Thanks man. Can't wait to ride this year.....Not sure the tires he had on it are good for the twisties but i'll try

  • I went down one tooth on front sproket with ultralight chain and rear sproket...150+ with passenger adding two bros exaust and k+n intake to get tha wheel up in 3rd any other ideas

  • @SHAUNSPICERCPU its an amazing bike, if you ride twisties alot, you'll find even 1000cc bikes have a hard time keeping up because of the low gearing and strong torque. Below 6.5k rpm the motor isn't powerful (but still very torquey) and like i said it looses it after 10k rpm. Shift alittle lower each gear you go up, so you can let it rev out nearly in 1st, but changing 5th to 6th you may want to shift around 10k like in this video.

  • @daWKin548 Thanks for the info. I just bought one and i have only owned ZX-6R's. I keep hitting the rev limiter because i'm use to the higher redline. I crashed my 636 into a rig that turned in front of me in a 55 zone three years ago and i'm just getting the nerve to ride again. Seems like a fun bike though, Oddly enough the former owner is my best friend that was with me that day on the bike i have now and he hasn't ridin since. What is the best shift point for fast acceleration?

  • @SHAUNSPICERCPU peak power is just below 9k rpm and the torque noticably drops off after 10k rpm, there isn't any point shifting this bike at the redline you have to treat the motor like a diesel car, let it pull through the rpms rather than screaming it

  • @1975supermike Peak power is 11,000 i think....Google it. Power band should be between 8,000-11,000

  • @1975supermike What do you mean with "power band" ?

  • @KutWrite the SUV was moving to the other lane already and the bike had lots of space. No real danger there...
