Amazing video! What's the amperage?
You didn't want your mother to know you were playing with high voltage, right?
That's why you kept the tv on :D

@CoolDudeClem I saw the schematic and it's DC. Also I can get really big arcs from a small flyback using zvs driver and if you decrease your number of turns(one up one down) you probably draw bigger arcs because of the increasement of frequency. And what type of driver you use (555,3055,ZVS,push pull or what)?

@ExplosiveAnyThing Flybacks usually are DC, so i'm pretty sure that is DC.

I wish I could find some flybacks that give me these kind of arcs, I've experimented with all kinds of different flybacks, transistors and number of turns on the primary, I usually get a purple arc about an inch and a half long and a hot primary (need to get some thicker wire), still got a few ideas to try out tho.

This is HV AC or DC??

Este esta mas facil de hacer y sale mas barato armarlo buscar en proyectos ---> jjforum.webuda.com

I`ve never seen anything like this from a flyback transformer!
Good job!

Man... what planet did you come from? your videos are awesome fun stuff to watch... play safe!

@TheError404 lol? hh ok ill find this transistor or what this, tnx

@mapukmapuk You can search Google 2n3055 driver, it's simple and not very dangerous (i touched output, it hurted :D )
mmmm i can smell the ozone from here! Will this driver be finished?

@zker666 It is finished, see my video "Super flyback driver final version"

plz can you give me schematic bcuz my flyback can genaerate only 3 cm arcs

see my vid super flyback driver final version, there is a schematic too.
if you want a simpler but not so sophisticated circuit, send me a PM

err... by "vary it" I meant the length of the arc. You know what I mean.

Of course that the voltage drop is way lower with a short arc. When I say that a power supply generates xx volts, it's meant as a open circuit voltage.
