What's makes you think a Western man in the 21st century would be operating with the same mindset as a man in the 19th century? Cool. my ex-boyfriend was canadian born chinese (we broke up due to personal differences and not anything related to race). I like asian guys they are nice but i think the asian male with non-asian female paring is very uncommon. i always see a lot of WM/AF. i saw so few AM/Wf couples that I started taking count and in the 3 years that i have been keeping track i have only seen about 85 AM/WF couples as apposed to at least a couple hundred WM/AF couples.
