Chemistry extra credit...
Adapted from "Accio Deathly Hallows" by Hank Green.

Lyrics:
Im getting kind of tired of this
all those AP chemistry kids are talkin bout these strange things called moles
What they are, I dont know. I think they belonged to Avogadro.
Maybe they were his pet cat or fish.

A mole is 6.02
times ten to the 23rd.
Its the biggest number that Ive ever heard.

And if you have a mole of an element
its molar mass can be found in grams
as its atomic mass on the periodic table.

Oh, Avogadro discovered the mole.

So take an element like Carbon, whos molar mass is 12.
60 grams of that is how many moles?
Well, I dont know, Ive never been told.

Just divide the number of grams
by the compounds molar mass
and 60 divided by 12 is 5.
Youre problems are solved and you are done.
And the rest are just as simple as that one.

A single mole of unpopped popcorn
poured over all of America
could colver the country 9 miles deep
and thats a lot more than I could eat.
